What issue are you seeing?

The configured node_repl MCP server rejects even a minimal JavaScript call before the code executes. This blocks
native spreadsheet inspection, but the failure also occurs without importing any library or opening any file.

Running codex.cmd doctor --json under my normal Windows account reports overall status "ok", including authentication,
provider connectivity, MCP configuration, and elevated Windows sandbox provisioning. It also reports that CLI 0.154.0
is current.

What is the expected behavior?

The minimal JavaScript call should execute and print "native-runtime-health-check" using the configured sandbox.

If the configured helper is incompatible with the current CLI, the error should identify that incompatibility and
provide a supported repair or update path.

The same helper is used before and after restart. Its file last-write date is June 15, 2026; its build version has not
been established.

Ordinary shell execution and explicit permission escalation work. Kernel reset and a verified full restart did not
resolve the failure.

Installed spreadsheet skill version: 26.614.11602. The minimal reproduction does not require that skill or a workbook.

A host/helper request-metadata mismatch is suspected but not confirmed. Please provide the supported repair or
