26.908.4834.0, running host codex-cli 0.154.0-alpha.6.2.

Repeated tool discovery in an existing local task does not expose
send_message_to_thread, list_threads, read_thread, wait_threads,
handoff_thread, or automation_update, although app-provided guidance
still references them. Other tools remain available.

The target task remains accessible through the desktop UI. A fallback
composer message was received and acknowledged on September 13, 2026
at approximately 04:31 UTC. This confirms delivery, not recovery of
the native interface.

The capability mismatch is confirmed; its root cause and introducing
build remain unknown. Script syntax and UI-automation errors are not
being presented as proof of a client defect.

Please investigate native tool registration and provide a supported
recovery method without clearing conversations or disrupting active tasks.
