Research direction
Start by reproducing the app-server queue flow described: submit a queued task, edit it, and submit it again. Trace the app-server entry point handling queued follow-ups and use the reproduction to identify why the follow-up disappears. Done means a queue can be created normally and can still be submitted after editing without the reported error.
