Description
Problem
Codex's work efficiency has been very low over the past few days. It frequently stops at making excuses and defending its behavior instead of completing the requested task.
When corrected, it often continues explaining or justifying what went wrong rather than fixing the problem and finishing the work. The user has to repeatedly push it to continue.
Expected behavior
Act on corrections, fix the work, and carry the requested task through to completion. Explanations and self-defense should not replace execution.
Please investigate whether there has been a recent regression in task completion and follow-through.
用户原话
工作效率很低。经常停在找借口和辩解而不肯完成任务。

Research direction
No file, test, or entry point is identified in the issue. Start by reproducing the reported task-completion and correction-follow-through behavior, then compare recent changes for a regression; done means corrections lead to completed requested tasks without repeated prompting.
