Chrome searches are creating ghost entries in ChatGPT Windows Recents Description

What issue are you seeing?

Chrome searches are creating ghost/temporary entries in the ChatGPT Windows app Recents list. These entries have names such as “Search query overview,” “Bing Overview,” and “Search phrase overview.” Some disappear on their own, while others remain but return “Cannot load conversation” when clicked.
These entries are cluttering Recents and making it difficult to locate actual ChatGPT conversations.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Perform a normal Google search.
3. Return to the ChatGPT Windows desktop app.
4. A new entry such as “Search query overview” appears in Recents.
5. Click the entry. It may return “Cannot load conversation.”
   I also performed controlled tests:

• Google search in Chrome → “Search query overview” appeared.
• Bing search in Chrome → “Bing Overview” appeared and later disappeared.
• Search directly from Chrome address bar → “Search phrase overview” appeared.
• Directly navigating to a website in Chrome without searching → nothing appeared.
• Performing a Google search in Microsoft Edge → nothing appeared.
  The behavior therefore appears associated with search activity originating from Chrome rather than Google specifically or normal browser navigation.

What is the expected behavior?

Searches performed independently in Chrome should not create entries in the ChatGPT Recents list.
Recents should contain actual ChatGPT conversations and activities initiated through ChatGPT, not temporary or unusable entries generated by ordinary browser searches.

The search-related entries do not appear in my ChatGPT history on the web or mobile versions.
The biggest impact is usability. I regularly use Recents to return to ongoing conversations and projects, and these browser-search entries are accumulating and making legitimate conversations increasingly difficult to find.
There is also a privacy/UX concern because this behavior gives the appearance that ChatGPT is recording Chrome search activity, even if these entries are actually temporary browser/Codex/OWL session objects being incorrectly exposed in Recents.

No source files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reproducing the issue with Google and Bing searches in Chrome, compare the Windows app Recents list with the web or mobile history, and trace which browser-search activity creates the temporary entries; done means independent Chrome searches no longer create unusable Recents items.
