Description
What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
Version 26.903.61454
What subscription do you have?
Pro
What platform is your computer?
macOS / Darwin 25.5.0 arm64 arm
What issue are you seeing?
While a task was running, Codex silently switched to using my credits as it thought that I did not have any usage left. Once the credits were depleted, the thread stopped running and the "limit reached" notification was displayed. Upon checking my usage limit, it showed that I still had approx. 35% usage left still under General Usage and after resuming the task everything continued as normal. My credits balance is now $0.
The alarming part is that this happened over a day ago, yet I still do not see the credit usage appear in my usage history. So it appears that its drained my credits without any log/history of it occurring, despite my account still having subscription usage available. As there is no log of the credit usage, I cannot determine how much was actually used.
I was using Astra / Medium in Codex when this issue occurred.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Not sure, I did not do anything specific for this to occur. My account will most likely need to be checked in order to figure out the issue.
What is the expected behavior?
Usage deducted from general usage limit rather than credits.

Research direction
Start with the macOS Codex App's usage-limit and usage-history behavior for Version 26.903.61454. Investigate how Astra / Medium consumption is classified when General Usage still has capacity, and verify that any credit deduction appears in usage history while the task is running.
