Codex stops working in WSL after update; WSL repeatedly restarts

After updating Codex, it stopped working in WSL. WSL itself is also restarting repeatedly. The problem is ongoing and has not been resolved.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Reported sequence:

1. Update Codex in an existing Windows/WSL setup.
2. Attempt to continue using Codex with WSL.
3. Codex no longer works as before, and WSL repeatedly restarts.
