What issue are you seeing?

The whimsy stars when astra model is selected get copied together with my own input when I want to select and copy the text that I typed in. And I want to do this all the time, for various reasons (e.g., I started typing prompt and decided mid way I want to compact first).

What steps can reproduce the bug?

use 0.154.0 codex, select astra

What is the expected behavior?

Research direction

Reproduce the issue on Linux with Codex CLI 0.154.0, the astra model, and ghostty by selecting and copying text typed in the input area. Trace the CLI terminal rendering and input-selection behavior; done means the whimsy stars are excluded when copying the user's input.
