Description
What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
26.901.51231
What subscription do you have?
Plus
What platform is your computer?
Windows 11
What issue are you seeing?
The prices/token usage for Astra (low) got so expensive, that even 50% leftover rate limit may fail. Codex does not check before and interrupts work, effectively damaging the project.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Any codex prompt has this behaviour, at GPT 6 (low) in a plus subscription it may happen at 50% leftover usage.
What is the expected behavior?
No project damage on rate limit.

Research direction
No file or test is named. First reproduce any Codex prompt with GPT 6 (low) on a Plus subscription at roughly 50% remaining rate limit, then trace the rate-limit handling and project-write behavior. Done means hitting the limit does not damage the project.
