Description

What issue are you seeing?

Hi,

I've just setup Codex for Gitlab following the documentation available here https://learn.chatgpt.com/docs/third-party/gitlab.
Everything seems fine, env creation is ok, webhook too, when I open a MR or add a comment the webhook is triggered but nothing happen on the MR and the webhook response is 200 {}.

Here are relevant informations :

  • ChatGPT Plus subcription (I plan on using pro subscription to review all MR but first I'd like to validate the operation)
  • GitLab.com
  • Reproduced in both group/subgroup/project and group/project
  • Exact @codex review comment
  • MR authored by the connected GitLab user (me)
  • Review my MRs enabled
  • MR and note webhook deliveries return HTTP 200 {}
  • No reaction, Codex task, or review

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Set up Codex/gitlab connection with a chatGPT plus subscription, create a MR/add comment and check if codex is triggered.

What is the expected behavior?

Codex review the MR.
Codex add 👀 reaction when triggered through comment.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the GitLab setup described in the issue, including an MR and the exact @codex comment, then compare the webhook deliveries with the linked documentation. Done means a valid MR or comment webhook causes Codex to review the MR and add the expected 👀 reaction.
