Research direction
Start by reproducing installation of Codex CLI 0.153.4 on a new machine and capture the security-plugin warning. Trace the installation or startup path that emits the message; done when installing the CLI without the optional plugin no longer reports a failure, while genuine plugin problems remain distinguishable.
