[macOS][ChatGPT Desktop] Main conversation area disappears after first message

What issue are you seeing?

The main conversation area disappears / becomes blank immediately after sending the first message in a new chat.

The left sidebar remains visible and responsive, but the central chat view is no longer displayed correctly. This makes the desktop app effectively unusable for normal conversations.

The issue is consistently reproducible in newly created chats.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open the ChatGPT macOS desktop app.
2. Create a new chat.
3. Send the first message.
4. Observe the assistant beginning to respond / the conversation updating.
5. The main conversation area disappears or becomes blank, while the sidebar remains visible.

What is the expected behavior?

The conversation should remain visible and usable after the first message is sent.

Troubleshooting already attempted

• Completely reinstalled the ChatGPT macOS app.
• Restarted the Mac.
• The issue still reproduces afterward.

Reproduces consistently and blocks normal use of the desktop application.
