Research direction
The report names no repository file, test, or CLI entry point; first verify whether the failure can be reproduced in Codex CLI 0.153.4 rather than only in ChatGPT's desktop web browser. A useful issue would need a repository-level reproduction and expected behavior before a code change can be scoped.
