URGENT: ChatGPT history search unusable; gray placeholders and malformed previews

To the Codex, OpenAI, and ChatGPT teams,

I am reporting an urgent failure affecting ChatGPT conversation history search. I cannot successfully search my previous conversations to retrieve information I need. This is disrupting my workflow and requires prompt investigation.

Observed behavior

• History search is unusable for me.
• As shown in the attached screenshot, conversation titles and dates are visible, but multiple previews show gray loading placeholders instead of readable content.
• One preview displays raw image-link markup ([image](https://...)) rather than a properly formatted preview.

Expected behavior

Searching conversation history should return relevant existing conversations and readable previews so I can locate previous work reliably.

Impact and urgency

Reliable access to past conversations is a core requirement. This failure prevents me from efficiently retrieving information from my own history. Please treat this as an urgent user-impacting issue and provide a concrete response.

Requested action

1. Acknowledge this report and prioritize investigation.
2. Investigate the search failure and incomplete preview rendering.
3. Provide a working workaround and a recovery timeline, or a time for the next status update if an ETA is not yet available.
4. Confirm whether existing conversation data is intact.
