What issue are you seeing?
GPT-6 Astra is extremely capable, but its current usage cost makes it hard to justify for regular Codex work. I’d strongly suggest expanding GPT-6 into a family similar to Sol, Terra, and Luna, with cheaper GPT-6 variants for everyday development and reserving Astra for the hardest tasks. That would make GPT-6 much more practical to use consistently.

Research direction
No repository file, test, or code entry point is identified; start by reviewing the uploaded thread and determining whether the suggestion has an implementation surface in the Codex CLI repository. Done would require maintainer-defined scope and acceptance criteria for any cheaper GPT-6 variants.
