Description
What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
Version 26.901.51231
What subscription do you have?
Pro
What platform is your computer?
Windows 11
What issue are you seeing?
Started codex new chat with Astra at 100% usage. Astra ran an unrequested deep security scan; usage went from 100 to 61 and I stopped the task and switched the model from Astra to spark and it said "Model changed from GPT-5.6 Sol to GPT-5.3 Codex Spark" not Astra ? I never used sol in that codex chat???. Opened new chat, and suddenly usage dropped to 48% from 61% and now 44% and 43% now 42% and no background task, job is running.
What steps can reproduce the bug?

Research direction
Start with feedback ID 01a06bab-a450-7923-b2da-d15dc0a1dc2f and trace the Codex App's usage accounting across the reported new-chat, model-switching, and background-task states. Confirm the unexpected model label and usage reductions on Windows 11 with the Pro subscription, then add a regression test once the failing path is identified.
