Description
What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
26.901.5003.0
What subscription do you have?
Plus
What platform is your computer?
Windows 11 x64, OS build 26200.
What issue are you seeing?
The issue occurs specifically in the new Luna Reserve experimental mode.
The regular usage limits panel works correctly: it fits within the sidebar and its controls are translated into Russian.
However, when the new “Luna Reserve” state is displayed, two problems appear:
- The panel is wider than the available sidebar area, so its right side is clipped.
- The buttons “Upgrade” and “Reset usage” remain in English, although the interface language is Russian.
This is not a general problem with the Russian localization or with every usage panel. It is specific to the new Luna Reserve panel/state.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open Codex desktop app with the interface language set to Russian.
- Use it until the usage limit for the main extended models becomes low.
- When the limit approaches exhaustion, the regular usage-limit notification appears automatically. In this state, the notification is displayed correctly: it fits within the sidebar and its controls are translated into Russian.
- Continue using the extended models until their available limit is exhausted.
- After the limit is exhausted, Codex automatically switches to the new Luna Reserve state and displays the corresponding notification automatically.
- Observe the Luna Reserve notification.
In the automatically displayed Luna Reserve state, the notification is wider than the available sidebar area and is clipped on the right. The buttons “Upgrade” and “Reset usage” also remain in English, despite the interface language being Russian.
What is the expected behavior?
The Luna Reserve panel should behave consistently with the regular usage limits panel:
- it should fit within the available sidebar width without being clipped;
- its layout should adapt to the available space;
- the “Upgrade” and “Reset usage” buttons should be translated into Russian when the interface language is Russian.
Additional information
The attached screenshots show two different states:
- Shows the regular usage limits panel. It fits within the sidebar and its controls are correctly translated into Russian.
- Shows the new Luna Reserve panel. Its right side is clipped, and the “Upgrade” and “Reset usage” buttons remain in English.
The contrast between these screenshots is important: the issue is limited to the newly introduced Luna Reserve panel and is not a general failure of Russian localization.
The issue appeared when the Luna Reserve experimental mode became available.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the Luna Reserve state in the Codex desktop app with Russian selected, then locate the panel and its Upgrade and Reset usage strings. Done means the panel fits the sidebar without clipping and both buttons are translated in Russian, while the regular usage panel remains unchanged.
