Description
What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
26.903.11726
What subscription do you have?
Plus
What platform is your computer?
Can't run that in powershell but I use it both on Windows VS Code and ChatGPT Desktop app
What issue are you seeing?
The visible chat history for an active Codex conversation appears stuck at an older point (for example, showing Wednesday 7:21 AM as the last message), even though I have continued using the same conversation today and the agent responds with awareness of the recent work.
This happens in both the VS Code Codex interface and the ChatGPT app. New messages can be sent and answered, but the displayed conversation timeline does not reliably show the recent turns. It makes it difficult to verify what has been discussed, review prior corrections, or continue long-running work safely.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
The trigger is currently unknown. The best guess is that it is due to an accidental window close of VS Code while Codex is still running.
What is the expected behavior?
The visible conversation history and last-message timestamp should update consistently across both clients.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the stale timeline in the Codex VS Code interface and ChatGPT desktop app, including after accidentally closing VS Code while Codex is running. Compare the visible history and last-message timestamp with the recent turns; done means both clients consistently display the current conversation history.
