Description
What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
Versione 26.825.51511
What subscription do you have?
Chapt Pro
What platform is your computer?
windows
What issue are you seeing?
During an active voice session in the Codex app, the floating voice overlay or bubble with microphone, audio, confirm, and close controls stays above the interface and can cover essential areas: chat messages, the text input field, previews, side panels, and main UI controls. The overlay is not selectable, not draggable, and cannot be manually moved by the user. It can also block interaction with the controls underneath it. Expected behavior: the voice overlay should always be manually movable by the user. It may have a default initial position, but that position should avoid covering chat messages, the text input field, previews, side panels, and primary controls. Additional context: I already submitted the same report through the in-app Feedback form and included the logs of the current ChatGPT Codex session. The feedback form did not allow me to attach a screenshot, but the issue is reproducible during the current voice session. This bug is currently preventing me
What steps can reproduce the bug?
The overlay should be movable by the user, or initially positioned so it never covers essential UI areas.
What is the expected behavior?
The expected behavior is that the voice overlay should always be manually movable by the user, or initially positioned so it never covers essential UI areas.

Research direction
No file or test is named. Reproduce an active voice session on Windows and trace the voice overlay implementation from the controls shown in the report. Done means the overlay can be moved by the user and no longer blocks chat, input, previews, side panels, or primary controls.
