Description

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.901.4073.0

What subscription do you have?

ChatGPT Pro, upgraded from an active free ChatGPT Plus trial

What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

Immediately after upgrading from an active free ChatGPT Plus trial to ChatGPT Pro in Germany, checkout charged €103 including tax. Codex Desktop then showed the Pro subscription price as €114/month under Settings > Usage & billing.

The two user-facing amounts disagree by €11 for the same subscription. I have not observed a €114 charge; the discrepancy currently appears to be in the Codex billing display or the data used by that display.

What steps can reproduce the bug?
  1. Have an active free ChatGPT Plus trial on an account billed in Germany.
  2. Upgrade to ChatGPT Pro before the trial expires.
  3. Complete checkout and observe a charge of €103 including tax.
  4. Open Codex Desktop.
  5. Navigate to Settings > Usage & billing.
  6. Observe that the Pro subscription is displayed as €114/month.
What is the expected behavior?

Codex should display the same localized, tax-inclusive recurring price as checkout and the billing record. If €114 represents a different amount, estimate, or future renewal price, the UI should label it clearly and explain how it relates to the €103 charge.

Additional information
  • Region/currency: Germany, EUR.
  • The Plus trial was free; €103 was the Pro upgrade charge.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the Germany/EUR upgrade flow in Codex Desktop 26.901.4073.0, then inspect the Settings > Usage & billing entry point and the billing data it displays. Compare the €103 checkout charge with the €114/month UI value; done means the recurring price matches the billing record or the UI clearly explains any difference.
