Codex Pet overlay reappears after being tucked away

What issue are you seeing?

The Codex Pet floating overlay reappears after I select Tuck Away Pet.

I want to keep the Codex desktop app running, but permanently disable/hide the floating Pet overlay. Currently, Tuck Away Pet only hides it temporarily. The Pet appears again later, including after restarting/reopening the app.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open the Codex desktop app.
2. Open Settings → Pets.
3. Select Tuck Away Pet.
4. Continue using Codex, or close and reopen the app.
5. Observe that the floating Pet overlay appears again.

What is the expected behavior?

After selecting Tuck Away Pet, the Pet overlay should remain hidden until I explicitly select Wake Pet or run /pet.

The Codex application itself should remain running normally.

Additional information

The Pet overlay reappears without explicitly waking it.

There is currently no permanent “Disable Pets” option in the settings.

Start by reproducing the issue through Settings → Pets and selecting Tuck Away Pet, then inspect the state used when Codex continues running and when the app is reopened. The fix is complete when the overlay stays hidden until Wake Pet or /pet is explicitly used, while the Codex app remains running.
