Description

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

Powered by Codex & OWL 버전 26.831.21537

What subscription do you have?

ChatGPT Plus

What platform is your computer?

Windows 11 (64-bit)

What issue are you seeing?

Chats that I already deleted from ChatGPT on the web or mobile app still remain in the Codex sidebar (Recents).
The chats no longer appear in ChatGPT, but their titles remain in Codex. When I try to delete these stale entries from Codex, the deletion fails and the chats remain in the sidebar.
Logging out and back in, restarting the app, and resetting the Codex app did not resolve the issue.

  1. Create a chat in ChatGPT on web or mobile.
  2. Confirm that the chat appears in the Codex sidebar.
  3. Delete the chat from ChatGPT on web or mobile.
  4. Open or refresh Codex.
  5. The deleted chat still appears in the Codex sidebar.
  6. Attempt to delete the chat from Codex, but it cannot be removed.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Feedback ID: no-active-thread-01a06126-f613-7702-9993-727c18b8fcc6

What is the expected behavior?

Chats deleted from ChatGPT should also be removed from the Codex sidebar. Deleted chats should not remain as stale entries that cannot be removed.

Additional information

I have already tried logging out and back in, restarting the Codex app, and resetting the app, but the issue still persists.
The affected chats have already been deleted from ChatGPT on web/mobile and no longer appear there. They only remain in the Codex sidebar and cannot be removed.

Research direction

No source file or test is named. Start by reproducing the stale-sidebar case in the Codex App on Windows using the listed steps and feedback ID, then trace the recent-chat refresh and deletion paths. Done means chats deleted from ChatGPT disappear from the Codex sidebar and stale entries can be removed.
