Description
What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
iPad App 1.2026.230 (32543289983)
What subscription do you have?
Pro 20x
What platform is your computer?
iPad OS 27 Beta 5
What issue are you seeing?
I have been using remote sessions with Codex. On iPhone it works great. However on iPad, the entire app freezes whenever I open a remote sessions. It seems to happen once the session gets a little longer, as new sessions work consistently. However opening an existing remote session of reasonable length or longer, or even using a new session for a long enough period of time, and the app will freeze.
This behavior is extremely consistent. I have been unable to identify the exact trigger, however 9 out of 10 times it will freeze if I open an existing remote sessions of length.
This happens on both my 11” M5 iPad Pro on iOS 27 Beta 5, and my 11” M1 iPad Pro on the latest version of the public iPad Pro OS. Same exact behavior on both.
This is exclusive to iPad OS, and has never happened on iOS.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Enable remote sessions on a Codex session. Have enough conversation to get to a reasonable length. Open the remote session from iPad OS device.
What is the expected behavior?

Research direction
Reproduce the freeze on both iPad models by opening or using a longer remote Codex session, then compare the same session behavior on iPhone. The issue is resolved when iPad no longer freezes while opening or continuing reasonably long remote sessions.
