Description
Based on the Codex guidance, a banked reset must be applied by you from Settings → Usage and confirmed, and once a banked reset is consumed (or expires) it can’t be restored or reissued.
I’ve captured your bug report details exactly as you described:

- Typed text: “usage reset. Resume the Goal” (meant “usage has been reset”)
- Observed behavior: Codex redeemed the banked reset without you opening Settings → Usage or seeing a confirmation prompt; Codex later acknowledged misreading it
