Research direction

Reproduce the issue by opening a chat thread within a folder in the Codex App on Windows, then inspect the desktop app entry point responsible for the bottom controls. Compare the current Share control with the expected Open In [Code Editor] dropdown, and verify that the editor chooser returns with the folder or repository available to open.
