Description

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

[Paste the version shown in About Codex]

What subscription do you have?

[For example: Free / Plus / Pro / Team / Enterprise]

What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

In Codex Desktop, the Pet can be repositioned only once after its state is refreshed or after reselecting it in Settings.

After the first reposition, further attempts to move the Pet do not work. Reselecting the Pet or refreshing its state temporarily restores the ability to move it once, but the issue repeats after that.

No error message is shown.

What steps can reproduce the bug?
  1. Open Codex Desktop.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select a Pet again, or refresh the Pet state.
  4. Move the Pet to a different position. This works once.
  5. Try to move the Pet again. It no longer responds.

This is a UI interaction issue; no code snippet, session ID, token usage, or context-window information is applicable.

What is the expected behavior?

The Pet should remain repositionable after it has already been moved, without requiring a refresh or reselection in Settings. The Pet should be draggable whenever the user clicks and holds it, and it should be possible to place it at any desired position on the screen.

Additional information

The Pet renders normally and can be moved after a refresh/reselection, so this appears to be an interaction-state issue rather than a missing Pet asset or configuration file.

I can provide a short screen recording showing: refresh/reselect → first move works → second move fails.

Research direction

Start in Codex Desktop by following the reported sequence: reselect or refresh a Pet in Settings, move it once, then try a second move. Trace the Pet's drag interaction and state after the first reposition; done means the Pet remains draggable and can be placed repeatedly without refresh or reselection.
