In my VS Code Codex extension, the reasoning effort options are not displaying properly:
- The "Max" reasoning level option is missing from the reasoning selector menu next to the chat input box.
- The Reasoning Effort GUI setting is completely missing from the Configuration panel (only
Open config.tomlis visible).
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open the chat panel and click the model/reasoning selector menu next to the chat input box.
-> Observe that the "Max" reasoning effort level is not present in the list. - Go to the Codex settings panel and navigate to the Configuration tab.
-> Observe that there are no GUI settings/dropdowns for Reasoning Effort.
