Description

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.818.21641

What subscription do you have?

Business Plus

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 27.0.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

When Codex is actively working on a task, sending a steering prompt (for example, asking a question, requesting clarification, or giving an additional instruction) causes Codex to respond to that prompt but then stop the task it was working on.|

Previously, Codex would answer the steering prompt or clarification and then continue with the original task automatically.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Feedback ID: 01a013bf-04e0-7d10-9456-39d0649338b4

What is the expected behavior?

Codex should respond to the steering prompt and then resume the ongoing task.

Research direction

Reproduce the issue in Codex 26.818.21641 on the reported platform by starting a task and sending a steering or clarification prompt. Use feedback ID 01a013bf-04e0-7d10-9456-39d0649338b4 when investigating; done means Codex answers the prompt and then resumes the original task.
