What issue are you seeing?

The ChatGPT Android app provides no way to inspect my current Codex usage allowance / limits, reset timing, or banked reset credits.

This information is available through other first-party surfaces and is important for managing paid Codex usage. On Android, I have to leave the first-party app and open the web interface simply to determine what usage I have available.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the ChatGPT Android app.
  2. Open Settings / account and look for Codex usage information.
  3. There is no equivalent of the web usage view showing current allowance, reset timing, or banked resets.

Actual behavior

I cannot find any way in the Android app to see:

  • current Codex usage / remaining allowance;
  • reset timing and usage period;
  • banked / accumulated reset credits; or
  • model-specific usage where limits differ by model.

Expected behavior

The Android app should expose the same account-level Codex usage information available through other first-party surfaces, including current usage / remaining allowance, reset timing, banked resets, the relevant usage period, and ideally model-specific usage where limits differ by model.

Why this is more than a convenience feature

Banked resets and included Codex allowance are finite account-level resources that affect whether paid Codex work can continue. They can be consumed and their state affects decisions about when and which models to use.

A user working through ChatGPT Android / Codex Remote can therefore consume Codex resources while having no first-party Android view of the remaining allowance or banked-reset state. The user must switch to a browser merely to inspect the account resource being consumed.

This is particularly problematic when diagnosing unexpected usage or reset-credit consumption: without an Android usage surface, the mobile client provides no way to establish the before/after state.

Recent reports about reset/usage accounting illustrate why visibility matters operationally; for example #41593 and other rate-limit/reset reports in this tracker. Regardless of the outcome of those individual accounting reports, users need a consistent way to inspect the authoritative usage state from every first-party client that can initiate or control Codex work.

Feature parity / implementation context

There is a related request (#25223) concerning mobile Profile/Usage and Codex mobile/app-server APIs. This report is specifically about the user-facing ChatGPT Android app and parity with the usage information exposed elsewhere.

Please transfer or route this report internally if another public tracker is preferred.

Current status

Still reproducible on 7 September 2026 in the current ChatGPT Android app available to me. The Android client still provides no visible Codex usage / banked-reset surface.
