Description
App version: 26.810.7004.0 (Microsoft Store)
OS: Windows 11 Enterprise (Build 26200)
GPU: Intel Graphics, driver 32.0.101.8508
What happens:
Opening ChatGPT spawns multiple ChatGPT.exe processes but
no window ever appears. tasklist /v shows the main process
immediately as "Not Responding". No visible window is created.
Steps to reproduce:
- Install ChatGPT from Microsoft Store
- Click Open / launch from Start menu
- Processes appear in Task Manager but no window shows
What I tried:
- App reset via PowerShell (Reset-AppxPackage)
- Full uninstall + reinstall from Microsoft Store
- Multiple system reboots
- Network is fine — chatgpt.com reachable in browser
Workaround: chatgpt.com in browser works fine.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the launch failure on Windows 11 using the Microsoft Store installation, then inspect Task Manager or tasklist /v as described. Done means identifying why the main ChatGPT.exe process becomes Not Responding without creating a window and documenting or implementing a verified resolution; no repository file or test is named.
