What issue are you seeing?

Ctrl+g is supposed to open an external editor, allow you to edit the prompt, and then update the prompt in codex CLI after saving.

However, after saving with Sublime Text 4 (Stable channel, build 4200), the codex CLI prompt is unchanged.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Set $EDITOR to subl, the CLI helper for Sublime Text
2. Open codex in the terminal
3. Hit Ctrl+g. The existing prompt content will prefilled in a temp file.
4. Make any edits.
5. Save the temp file.
6. See the lack of change in codex's prompt

Start by reproducing the Ctrl+g failure with Sublime Text in the reported macOS and Warp environment, then trace the CLI's handling of that key sequence. Done means Ctrl+g behaves correctly when Codex CLI is used from Sublime Text, with a regression test covering the case.
