Windows ChatGPT Voice from Chat mode incorrectly creates Codex/Work artifacts

When starting a new Voice chat from Chat mode in the Windows desktop app, the session unexpectedly interacted with Work/Codex features and created local Codex/Work artifacts.

Expected behavior:
Starting Voice from Chat mode should remain within Chat unless explicitly switching to Work or Codex.

Actual behavior:
Voice routing appeared to involve Work/Codex context.

Status:
The issue is currently resolved and no longer reproducible.

• Account: ChatGPT Plus
• Platform: Windows 11 x64

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open ChatGPT Windows desktop app.
2. Make sure the current mode is Chat (not Work or Codex).
3. Click "Start new voice chat".
4. Use Voice for a normal Chat conversation.
5. Observe that the session is routed to Work/Codex context or creates Codex/Work-related artifacts unexpectedly.

What is the expected behavior?

When starting Voice from Chat mode, the conversation should remain in Chat mode.

Voice should not automatically create Work or Codex artifacts unless the user explicitly switches to Work/Codex or requests a Codex task.

The Chat experience should behave independently from Work/Codex features.

No source files, tests, or code entry points are identified. Start by checking whether the Windows desktop app can still reproduce Voice launched from Chat mode; done means the session remains in Chat and creates no Work or Codex artifacts without an explicit switch.
