What issue are you seeing?

I cannot log in to Codex CLI because it redirects me to https://auth.openai.com/add-phone and asks me to add a phone number.

However, the phone number associated with my OpenAI account is rejected with:

"This phone number has already been used. Please use a different phone number."

The same issue occurs on two different computers, including the account owner's own computer. ChatGPT web login works normally.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

No idea

Research direction

Start by reproducing the Codex CLI 0.147.0 login flow on Windows Terminal with WSL or PowerShell and observe the redirect to auth.openai.com/add-phone. Compare behavior across the reported computers and verify whether an already-associated phone number is rejected; done means login succeeds or the failure is narrowed to a clear actionable cause.
