Windows ChatGPT desktop app unusable after changing Appearance settings

I changed two or three values under Settings > Appearance in the Windows ChatGPT desktop app. After that, almost all text became invisible.

The app window, borders, buttons, cursor, and scrollbars still render, but text labels and settings content do not. Switching between Light and Dark only changes the background color. Windows contrast themes do not restore the text.

The app is also unusable because clicking inside it can open another ChatGPT window.

I have already tried:

• Repairing the app
• Resetting the app in Windows Settings
• Uninstalling and reinstalling the Microsoft Store app
• Switching the base theme through the command menu
• Changing the Windows contrast theme

None of these fixed the problem.

Please investigate whether corrupted Appearance preferences are being restored for my account, and reset the Appearance preferences to their factory defaults. The affected settings may include Foreground color, Background color, UI font, or related theme values.
