Description

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.803.81509

What subscription do you have?

20x

What platform is your computer?

linux

What issue are you seeing?

This design doesn't seem very reasonable. Why can't it be used together with Windows under Linux? Isn't it all based on the underlying codex-cli? Isn't it great that codex-cli provides the agent execution engine while ChatGPT provides the interface? Why is there such a hard binding

Research direction

Start by reviewing the Codex App platform support and the relationship between the Linux app, Windows, and codex-cli described in the report. No source file, test, or concrete expected behavior is named, so repository investigation and clarification of the intended cross-platform behavior are required before implementation.
