Creating a custom pet fails in the Codex desktop app.
Steps to reproduce
- Open Codex desktop app on Windows.
- Go to Settings → Pets.
- Click Create.
Expected behavior
The custom pet creation screen should open.
Actual behavior
A red error message appears:
Unable to start pet creation
Built-in pets can be selected, but custom pet creation never opens.
What I tried
- Refreshed the Pets page
- Restarted Codex
- Checked the OpenAI status page
The problem still happens.
