Description

As long as I work on Ruby and there is libsolv in Fedora, I always vondered, if the solv.so Ruby binding should specify dependency on libruby.so. I never know if libsolv should be rebuild with Ruby major version update or not.

Research direction

Start by checking how the solv.so Ruby binding is built and packaged, with particular attention to the libruby.so dependency and Fedora packaging. Determine whether a Ruby major-version update requires rebuilding libsolv, and consider the issue resolved when that dependency and rebuild behavior are clearly defined.
