Description

Could we add gen_ai.response.id as well? From the doc it appears that it's available in the response.

This is missing from the generated python client. I'm working with the vertex team to make this available but it's blocked until then.

Research direction

Start by checking the generated Python client and the Vertex AI GenerateContentResponse documented in the linked REST reference. Confirm when the response ID becomes available, then expose it as gen_ai.response.id and verify the instrumentation reports it; the issue notes that this is currently blocked by the generated client.
