Formatting is cumbersome

There is a script that does formatting for this repo but it's really slow to run (at least the first time).
Look at some other options.

Start by locating the existing formatting script and measuring its first-run behavior, then compare SwiftFormat and other options against the repository's needs. Done means selecting and integrating a faster formatter while keeping the formatting command working.
