Description
I was looking to develop tools that make it easy to wrap an existing OS command and expose these to users so they can easily extend the function set and perhaps contribute them back to the project. Should this be a virtual project under .dshell/extensions that we build and can then be imported? If this was a git repo which we clone as part of the install would this attract contributions?

Research direction
Start by reviewing the proposed .dshell/extensions location and how the project currently installs or imports extensions. Clarify whether wrapped OS commands should live in a virtual project or a separately cloned repository, then define the contribution and installation workflow before implementation begins.
