Description

In the documentation about LDAP, there is no mention of LDAPS: source

I propose a warning to be added that Odoo does not support LDAPS without a plugin. This would have saved me a lot of hassle debugging why this happens, as usually LDAPS is implicitly also supported just by setting the port to 636.

I do not want to discuss why this is the case in odoo, but I would appreciate if it was documented. If this is something that the maintainers are willing to add, I am happy to open a PR.

Research direction

Open content/applications/general/users/ldap.rst and read the LDAP configuration section. Add a clear warning that LDAPS is not supported without a plugin, including that setting port 636 alone does not provide support. Done means the LDAP documentation explicitly explains this limitation.
