Description
Description
ObjectSet uses BlockMgr to allocate block memory, which in turn utilizes ReqChunkMgr. ReqChunkMgr caches a certain number of AChunks to improve memory allocation performance. Underneath ReqChunkMgr, there is also an AChunkMgr, which may also cache a certain number of Chunks. To reduce memory usage, ReqChunkMgr needs to be optimized while ensuring no performance degradation.
Proposed Solution
Performance impact can be observed using sysbench tests.

Research direction
Trace how ObjectSet uses BlockMgr and how BlockMgr reaches ReqChunkMgr, then inspect the related AChunkMgr caching behavior. Run the mentioned sysbench tests to establish memory and performance baselines. Done means lower ReqChunkMgr memory usage without performance degradation.
