Description

Historically, flexlink eschews using the Unix library, but this is daft - we're going through ridiculous contortions to work around command line length limits, and falling back to bash has become ever more brittle.

Research direction

Start at flexlink's auxiliary-process handling and compare the existing bash fallback and command-line workarounds with Unix.create_process. Done means auxiliary commands run without those workarounds, including on Windows; the issue provides no file or test path, so locate the relevant entry point first.
