Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue on Windows 11 in OBS Studio using View → Fullscreen Interface (F11) and the canvas context menu's Fullscreen Projector (Preview). Done means both fullscreen modes fully cover the screen, including the taskbar and wallpaper, while retaining the expected interface controls.

Expected Behavior

The UI fully covered the screen so that:

  • Windows task bar is not visible.
  • Windows wallpaper is not visible.
Current Behavior
Fullscreen Interface

There should be the buttons and the status bar at the bottom, which are hidden by Windows task bar.

If you look at the right side carefully, you can notice the blue stipe. The fullscreen cannot fully cover the wallpaper.

Fullscreen Projector (Preview)

Same as above. Taskbar still remains. The right side of the wallpaper is not covered.

Steps to Reproduce

View -> Fullscreen Interface (or press F11)

Right click on the canvas -> Fullscreen Projector (Preview)

Anything else we should know?

Other applications (File explorer, Chrome, VSCode) are working as expected.
