Anything else we should know?

This happens on OBS v28 as well. On multiple mac devices, including my MacBook Pro 16" (Intel), MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Max) and my iMac (Intel).

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked OBS Studio log and reproducing the freeze with the macOS screen capture source after extended runtime. Compare behavior across the reported macOS devices and OBS versions; done means screen capture remains responsive during indefinite use without freezing.
