Research direction

Start by reviewing the OBS log at https://obsproject.com/logs/XpJQmNGjezSWcdJW and reproducing the listed Media Source steps on macOS 13 with OBS 28.1.2 and a .webm file. Done means hardware decoding no longer produces a black screen, freezes the media source, or crashes OBS on exit.
