Expected Behavior

Expected behavior is that it works on my Intel PC when using stream deck pedal, cannot get same desired result to be reproduced on my M2 Mac when utilizing stream deck pedal.

Current Behavior

OBS will only recognize pedal click when OBS is front and center and as active source. When minimizing OBS and going into any other application or opera browser, OBS does not register pedal click hotkey at all, OBS will respond with hotkey on actual keyboard outside of OBS. Need my stream deck pedal to work because I play guitars so hands are already busy and cannot be reaching for actual keyboard every single time. YES I have already granted OBS & Stream Deck accessibility and monitor inputing and screen recording, and everything when it comes to MacOs settings and inside OBS settings to include the "never disable hotkeys" settings. Hotkeys match in both softwares, the problem is that when OBS is running in the background minimized, it wont let me do my own thing while clicking the pedal to get my 60 second backtrack clips for Logic Pro x, Opera, etc..
I have also done the option of utilizing the option key + (hotkey) and that still does not solve the problem.

Steps to Reproduce

1.match hotkeys, enable replay buffer for vertical, enable all settings
2. start stream or recording or just enable backtrack
3. click stream deck pedal when OBS is minimized
4. Fail miserably and come to github looking for help and also ask help in official discord and official reddit
5. profit?....
...

Anything else we should know?

I have officially gone mad if you haven't been able to tell, please send help, lol.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the supplied OBS log and reproducing the four listed steps on the reported macOS 26 and OBS 32.1.2 setup with the Stream Deck pedal. Done means the configured pedal hotkey triggers the vertical backtrack while OBS is minimized and another application is active, without relying on the physical keyboard.
