Expected Behavior
The mouse icon to not lag.
Current Behavior
The mouse icon is lagging.
The word "icon" is very important here, as the "mouse" is still working. Moving it around will highlight stuff, and click will work as normal.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a "macOS Screen Capture"
- Select Any capture method (Application, Window, Display)
- Choose a Display
- Mouse icon lags
Anything else we should know?
iirc, it worked yesterday perfectly, no mouse lag. But I may just have not turned this show cursor thing on.
Also I separated scenes into scene collections yesterday.
I tried both OpenGL and Metal (experimental)
I used the automatic scene switcher yesterday. Try it both on and off.
I tried turning on and off "Disable MacOS V-Sync" feature.
Non worked.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the OBS log at https://obsproject.com/logs/WxGY6zUj4MtvkaG9 and the attached video, then reproduce the issue in OBS Studio 32.1.2 using a macOS Screen Capture source with Show Cursor enabled. Compare the cursor icon with cursor movement and clicks across the listed capture methods and rendering settings. Done means the cursor icon no longer visibly lags while the mouse remains responsive.
