Expected Behavior

Sound Alerts only plays through it's normal audio source.

Current Behavior

I have removed all browser source scenes involving sound alerts from my scenes.

I have removed all audio capture sources as well.

I set up my docks for pandora. Sign in. Set up OBS-browser-page.exe to run on random item. Have Obs profile run on main headphones.

Set audio capture source to capture source for the .exe.

Run pandora and hear the music and everything, no issues.

Install Sound alerts as a browser source (audio not controlled by OBS), sound goes through same location as the .exe and continues to repeat with multiple redeems. Refreshing the browser source will end the repeat. Once it is redeemed again, it starts repeating again.

This occurs with several video based redeems through sound alerts (hopper alarm, ooooooo, and others).

I'm not sure if it's a coding error involving sound alerts, something that got affected by the newest update with windows (been going on for over 2 weeks now), or if there is something else at play here.

The only thing I have yet to try is a complete wipe of OBS and starting from scratch.

Anything else we should know?

Up to date Windows 11, no new updates available.

Volume mixer used is basic windows. Source release doesn't matter.

OBS claiming no issues with update.

Attempts at DNSflush and cache reset resolves issue temporarily but resumes upon redeem again.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked OBS Studio log and reproducing the Windows 11 setup with an OBS browser source, dedicated audio capture, Pandora, and Sound Alerts. Confirm whether repeated playback occurs after multiple redeems and whether refreshing the browser source stops it; the issue is done when the cause is identified and the regression is fixed or clearly isolated.
