Expected Behavior
Media key (play/pause) should be allowing me to bind the key.
Current Behavior
Reading issue #7649, it looks like someone submit a bug report detailing the media control keys do nothing. There's a mention under #7650 adding it, and a later commit.
However when trying to bind a hotkey to hide a group that includes music related things like an overlay/window capture of currently playing song, the key isn't registered into the text field.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open Settings
- Go to hotkeys
- Click into text field to rebind key
- Press Play/Pause media key
- Nothing happens but playing/pausing media.
Anything else we should know?

Research direction
Reproduce this in OBS Studio on Zorin OS 18 with X11 by following the Settings > Hotkeys steps and review the linked OBS log. Compare media-key behavior while rebinding a hotkey, using issues #7649 and #7650 as context; done means the Play/Pause key is captured in the hotkey field without triggering media playback.
